Exeter Science Park

We were appointed by South West Highways (SWH) to build a 400m access road to the Met Office super computer at Exeter Science Park. This initial 9 month project doubled in size to include additional drainage with a sustainable drainage car park for the Met Office development.

This was a general civil engineering project involving earthworks and drainage. Celtic were the main subcontractor and we worked for the project’s manager alongside SWH’s specialist subcontractors in safety fencing, street lighting and surfacing

Phase One

We initially completed excavation work across the site before constructing the access road and installing sewers and services.

Phase Two

Once the access road was finished, we were commissioned to construct Redhayes car park. This involved the associated surface water drainage including installing a permeable paving system.

Current Phase

We are working with SWH on further projects including section 278 works for the new town, East Sherford outside Plymouth and future work at Exeter Science Park.

Testimonial

"I would recommend Celtic. They are an excellent company to work with.

We have an open and honest relationship with their team and their quality is very good. They address issues early and there is no risk of them under delivering. Our client has been very pleased with their work and we are looking forward to working with them on future projects."
